Each year Thurston County and surrounding areas players look for a higher level of play than is available than recreational soccer leagues. The answer may be one of our Club Programs.

Club competitive, academy or professional development programs plays, a level of somewhere between and above that of recreational and Premier play. Generally, the travel, cost and time commitment is considerably less or more than that of the Premier traveling programs, but greater than recreational soccer. Our program will provide an opportunity for players to play at a higher level of competition with other players with equal or greater skills. Our players generally find that their game improves greatly when they have a full team of higher-level players to work with. Our program appeals to individual player('s) seeking a level of entry level or competition higher than recreational play but not able to or willing to commit to a year-round program.

Club Select players fall generally into two categories — the good athlete who is active in other sports and is unwilling to make soccer their primary commitment (which is what Premier or Academy Traveling soccer expects) or the average athlete who enjoys soccer and wants to participate in the game at a more challenging level.

Selection to a Club Select team is made via tryouts which are open to all players (registration fee for tryouts is FREE).

Select coaches are required to meet minimum qualifications, which our staff will monitor.

Travel for games is around Thurston County, Tacoma.

Issues such as practice location, team finances, pre and post season tournament participation are addressed by our director of coaches, head coaches and the club owner.

A typical season schedule for our Select program is: Hold tryouts throughout May or June for various age groups (GU15 to GU19 are held the end of January). Practices begin two (2) weeks after tryout results and parents have registered their child. Practices are twice a week, continue through the summer and fall season when teams typically participate in 2 or 3 tournaments. The regular fall season runs from September (first weekend after Labor Day) to December of 7 or 14 games depending on number of teams registered for that season. State Cups is optional, start date varies and will be posted on our club website and could go through the first weekend in April. Spring season for boys is optional and is not included in the fees already paid. This schedule is very generic and can vary a lot based on the intensity level that the team is willing to commit to and their level of success. GU15 – GU19 teams play in the summer for tournaments and then take a break for the high school season and start back up the end of November with their season starting in December and running through April for the state cup.

All Academy, Select teams are governed by the rules and regulations of the Club Owner, and SAY Soccer.

2 practices per week, Friendly Games, either or in house/local/state tournaments as well as either or SAY Soccer Sanction: Thurston County SAY Soccer League or US Club Soccer.

Admin Fee, Coaches, Referee Fee, Field Rental Fee, Player ID Card, 1 Practice Jersey, 2 Winter or Summer Tournaments, Fall or Spring League
